Photobucket 8thw1 is the last of the AOK crew to rock with us. I remember Fresh saying that he may be the best of them all. He has some real deal joints. Never seen his solo live show. So curious eyes will be watching --- "Life ain't s___ but love money and music" is more than a rhyme from 8thW1 on his album lovemoneyandmusic, it's the emcee's mantra that guides his ambitious goals. "No matter what you believe in, everyone moves for those three things. That is the trinity that no one is above." With that said, this native of New Jersey is set to leave an impression on the world with music at it's center of impact. His dedication to providing quality music for listeners makes him one of the few artists who can be sold simply by pushing play. Drunken More

Keith Murray rocks at BHF ‘08 – classic footage

Shot by Bodega videographers Big Natural Productions. From the upcoming Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival DVD which will be available at this year's festivities on June 20th. Classic Keith Murray as he rocks his verse from "I Shot Ya" and "The Most Beautifullest Thing In The World" as a part of J Period's set. This was definitely one of the highlights from last year. Look for J Period to bring even more heat this year.

Jayson Williams (former Net) bugs out

Former NBA star Jayson Williams was zapped with a stun gun by police in his swank hotel suite Monday after the reportedly suicidal athlete resisted attempts by officers to take him to a hospital. Police were called to the hotel in lower Manhattan's Battery Park City neighborhood around 4 a.m. when a female friend reported that the former New Jersey Nets player, who was convicted in 2004 of trying to cover up a shooting at his home and whose wife recently filed for divorce, was acting suicidal. De La and (I love) Nike (but wait a minute)

You may have forgotten about Apple's tiny, wireless iPod-linked in-shoe pedometer, the Nike+, but the runners who've chalked up 100 million miles haven't. And neither has Nike--it just partnered with De La Soul to release a new album. Are You In?: Nike+ Original Run is the group's first original material in five years, and it's going to be an iTunes exclusive. Seeing one of hip-hop's most influential acts drop its latest tracks on marathoners is certainly unexpected. Is it a sign of desperation, or smarts? Fast Company
