New joint from THOSE CHOSEN

Here is anew joint from Show and Prove alum THOSE CHOSEN from Cali-for-ni-a.
This trio were a fav during Festival season and would have rocked if we could have gotten them out again from Cali. This new joint ‘Spare Tires’ is another banger with driving beats and their signature raspy, agressive yet laid back style.

This is a Bodega exclusive. Download it here.

And be on the lookout for more news about THOSE CHOSEN and the good folks at the Bodega.

Time to put in that good Bodega work

Working For The Bodega

As some of our Facebook friends have read it is that time of year again. It’s time for the Bodega Family to get to work. We are looking for volunteers for the 5th Annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival going down on June 20th at the beautiful Empire Fulton Ferry State Park in DUMBO, Brooklyn.

A lot of folks have been to our event(s) and have interacted with all the good folks who put in work for the Bodega. Perhaps this year is the year that you flip from being the Hip-Hop fan in front of the stage to the Hip-Hop soldier behind the stage.

Working for the Bodega and the Festival is a great way to build your resume as well as gain valuable and tangible working experience. Be forewarned – volunteering with us is not for the lazy. You will put in work, real work that makes a difference. And it will be the most rewarding work you have ever done.

We produce this event from beginning to end. There is an opportunity to work in virtually every aspect of event production, the operations of a small business and the music business as a whole. Marketing, promotion, branding, finance, design (graphic and web), talent buying, A&R, e-commerce, human resources, fundraising, sales, business development, legal and more.

We also have opportunities for writers and editors as the Bodega blogazine aspect is always looking for sharp minds to add to the ongoing discussion about our culture.

Next week we will be announcing the official launch of Savannah Boogie Music and Song, our new digital label. The deal was just signed with The Orchard and we need people to help us put that great venture together.

The Bodega is more of a learning institution than business. Making a profit is not our number one goal. Our goal is to promote the positive aspects of Hip-Hop and empower the current as well as next generation of artists and entrepreneurs. So if you want to get rich you should apply for a gig at Def Jam or Koch. Those brothers and sisters are good at that. If you want to learn and prove your mettle. Come run with us.
